Sister Queen

Friday 30 May  8pm

Presented by : Play on Words Theatre

Written and Performed by Miriam Cooper, the play follows the dynamic journey of two amazing women; the royal queens of the Tudor and Stuart dynasties – Elizabeth 1st and Mary Queen of Scots.

A play of passion and treachery where we witness the collision course these two sovereigns seemed unable to avoid. It is a tale that has ignited the imagination for centuries.

This is the British touring premier of “Sister Queens,” a one woman performance only previously seen in Greenwich, London as part of their hugely popular Summer exhibition entitled “Elizabeth”, where Miriam had the opportunity to work with Glenda Jackson and the historian David Starkey, appearing on the front page of a number of national newspapers.
